It sounds like you’re facing a serious issue with your Acer Aspire 3 A315-23, where the BIOS is freezing, and the laptop is stuck in a boot loop. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:
Hard Reset:
Disconnect the laptop from the power source.
Remove the battery, if possible.
Hold down the power button for about 15-20 seconds to discharge any residual power.
Reconnect the battery and power source, then try turning on the laptop.
Boot into Safe Mode:
If the laptop manages to start, try booting into Safe Mode. This can help identify if the issue is related to a specific driver or software. To do this, restart the laptop and press the F8 key repeatedly until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears.
Boot from a Windows Installation Media:
If you have a Windows installation USB or DVD, try booting from it. You can then use the “Repair your computer” option to access troubleshooting tools, including system restore and startup repair.
Reset BIOS Settings:
If you can access the BIOS (even if it freezes), try resetting the BIOS settings to default. There should be an option in the BIOS setup menu to load default settings.
Update BIOS/UEFI:
Check Acer’s official website for your laptop model and see if there’s a BIOS/UEFI update available. If so, download and install the update following the manufacturer’s instructions.
Recovery Options:
Some laptops have built-in recovery options that can be accessed by pressing a specific key combination during startup. Check your laptop’s manual or Acer’s support documentation for details on how to access recovery options.
Contact Acer Support:
If none of the above steps work, and your laptop is still under warranty, it’s recommended to contact Acer’s customer support. They can provide specific guidance based on your laptop model and may assist you with further troubleshooting or provide warranty support if needed.
If the issue persists and you’re unable to resolve it using the suggested steps, it’s crucial to seek professional assistance. Attempting to fix complex issues without proper knowledge can potentially lead to further problems.
